E-Mobility, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering - in most industries, the demands on component quality are increasing enormously. Technical cleanliness stands for safety. In addition to tiny particles, oily films on surfaces can also lead to system failures. The 3rd Specialty Conference on Filmic Contamination offers industry representatives the opportunity to learn about and exchange ideas on the issue of filmic organic contaminants on sensitive components.

Filmic Contamination – a Major Topic

Aware of this issue, the third expert meeting is organized by Süddeutscher Verlag Veranstaltungen. Over 100 industry participants are expected again. Participants include representatives from Continental, Bosch, Brose, MAHLE, Fraunhofer IFAM, Fraunhofer IGCV, Fraunhofer IPA, Fraunhofer IVV, Diener Electronic, DODUCO, Hermann Bantleon, LPW Reinigungssysteme, Petrofer Chemie, Plasma Technology, Rippert Anlagenbau, SITA Messtechnik, Tascon, VACOM, and many more. The event will be led by Oliver Bosch, responsible for Technical Cleanliness at MAHLE.

Bonding and Coating

Prof. Dr. Andreas Groß, Head of Continuing Education and Technology Transfer at Fraunhofer IFAM, explains the requirements of the bonding process chain. Thomas Schöning, Head of Surface Technology at RIPPERT Anlagenbau, will discuss the essentials of pretreatment in coating operations.

Influences and Extraction

Hakan Cücük, Process Engineer at Conti Temic, will talk about the influences of filmic contaminants in electronics manufacturing. Dr. Alexander Mäder, Specialist in Material and Damage Analysis at Brose, will report on the extraction and identification of filmic contaminants. Dr. Markus Rochowicz, Group Leader for Purity Technology at Fraunhofer IPA, will take an analytical perspective: On or in the surface – what information does my analysis method really provide?

E-Mobility

As part of the solution in electric mobility, Dr. Michael Flämmich, Authorized Signatory at VACOM, and Wolfgang Schmitt, Process Developer in Surface Technology at DODUCO, present the guideline "Controlling Filmic Contaminants." Another contribution on this topic comes from Stefan Büttner, Application Technician at SITA.

Develop Solutions in Small Teams

On the afternoon of the first day of the conference, participants can choose one of five workshops: Plastics, E-Mobility, Chemistry, Analytics, Cleaning. In small teams, the major questions and challenges will be discussed, and solutions will be developed collaboratively. The table captains will then present the results to the plenary session. During the subsequent break, each participant can deepen their experiences and contacts over a cup of coffee.

Networking Platform

Beyond the presentation program and workshops, the 3rd Specialty Conference on Filmic Contamination provides space for discussion and exchange of experiences among users, decision-makers, scientists, and analysts. This makes the event a unique platform for industry experts to discuss technical cleanliness, filmic contamination, challenges, and perspectives.

Trade Exhibition

An accompanying trade exhibition featuring representatives from CEC, CleanControlling, Clear Clean, Gläser, PPS, SITA, and Treams completes the event.
