Safety and Comfort from Siemens for the Pharmaceutical Industry

When the trade fair Lounge 2017 is all about cleanroom and pharmaceutical process technology, Siemens' Building Technologies division is also represented once again with industry-specific building technology concepts for the life sciences industry. These range from room and building automation to fire protection and security technology, up to the cross-disciplinary building management platform Desigo CC. Siemens presents its comprehensive portfolio for laboratories, cleanrooms, pharmaceutical production, and critical storage in regulated and non-regulated environments using a live model.

In cleanrooms and laboratories, critical room conditions such as temperature, humidity, pressure, and particle concentrations must be monitored and maintained. This is ensured by Siemens' Critical Environment Technology (CET), a portfolio of precisely coordinated components for this application area. The range includes, for example, products and solutions for the safe, precise, and rapid measurement, regulation, and monitoring of volumetric flows and room pressures. Through seamless integration into the overall Building Technologies portfolio and continuous communication from primary systems to the management level, CET ensures safety and comfort in regulated environments.

Up to one hundred guideline-relevant environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, air velocity, air pressure, and airborne particles, or access to quarantine areas, can also be monitored, stored, and documented with the Compact Monitoring Technology (CMT). This provides a standardized solution for GMP monitoring (Good Manufacturing Practice) and validation in accordance with GMP guidelines and other industry-specific regulations.

The building management platform Desigo CC can integrate individual or multiple trades and unify them into a single interface. Specifically for cleanrooms and laboratories, Desigo CC also offers an extensive standardized library with static and dynamic graphic symbols for laboratories and cleanrooms, laboratory exhausts, food, and exhaust systems.
