SÜDPACK Medica at Pharmapack

More than 300 exhibitors and over 5,000 visitors: Pharmapack in Paris is one of the first industry highlights of the year. As one of the leading solution providers in Europe, SÜDPACK Medica presents itself in Hall 7.2 at booth D84 with its comprehensive product and service portfolio – and highlights its range of high-performance films and sterile packaging concepts to trade fair visitors. A key focus of the trade show appearance is the presentation of a sustainable, PP-based solution for the production of halogen-free blister packs for tablets and other pharmaceutical solid applications.

SÜDPACK Medica has been one of the pioneering manufacturers of plastic-based packaging solutions for sterile devices and a proven partner for the global medical technology, pharmaceutical, and diagnostics industries for over 30 years. The development of sustainable film solutions is one of the most important strategic initiatives of the SÜDPACK Group. In recent years, numerous sustainable products for various applications have already been successfully introduced to the market. The PP-based thermoformed film for blister applications, which will be presented at this year's Pharmapack, is a logical step towards offering the pharmaceutical industry sustainable packaging concepts.

The PP film, produced using a unique coextrusion process, offers optimal barrier properties and is characterized by good processability on existing packaging lines. This enables the production of circular blister packs that achieve packaging security and efficiency comparable to conventional PVC/PVdC-based blister packs.

In addition to the PP-based film solution, SÜDPACK Medica will also showcase other coextruded soft and rigid films at Pharmapack, which are used as bottom and lid films for the production of sterilizable thermoformed packs and can be equipped with various functionalities tailored to the product being packaged. SÜDPACK Medica will also present various pouch solutions characterized by different mechanical properties as well as excellent seal and peelability.
