Round fine centering for mold making

Non-operational, "oscillating" round fine centering for aligning tool halves - a higher-quality alternative to cubic and "sliding" flat centering.

The new standard 7993 with 2 dimensions is based on the initial standard 7990 and is largely compatible with it. The main distinguishing feature is the longer centering travel L5, which has been increased by over 50% compared to standard 7990. This allows for the gentle and precise demolding of taller molds. Due to the increased centering travel, the column is longer, causing it to extend beyond the bushing end in the closed state – therefore, a clearance must be created behind the bushing for installation. In all other aspects, the new "Round Fine Centering Length" 7993 is compatible with the original standard 7990.

Another focus was on improving suitability for cleanroom and high-temperature environments. The wear- and heat-resistant brass alloy of the roller cage easily withstands temperatures up to 170°C and beyond. Some customers report very good test results around 200°C. With new design features, mechanical friction has been largely eliminated. Minimal amounts of lubricant enable maximum lifespan.

This new standard, with the described features, offers a much broader range of applications and provides a significantly increased centering performance.
