Riegler continues its growth trajectory and starts the new year 2019 on a positive note

Cleanroom production at Riegler at the Mühltal location: A total of 10 cleanrooms of ISO Class 7 at three locations produce systems for diagnostics, medical technology, and the pharmaceutical industry.

Last summer, Riegler announced the purchase of six additional fully electric injection molding machines. In the second half of 2018, the machines were installed and put into operation: since January 2019, the state-of-the-art equipment has been used to produce innovative products for global customers in the fields of diagnostics and medical technology. Securing new orders and increasing the production volumes of existing customers require further expansion of manufacturing capacities.

Riegler invests in 2019 in an additional 15 new fully electric injection molding machines

Riegler GmbH & Co. KG is investing in a total of fifteen new fully electric injection molding machines including peripheral handling in 2019 to fulfill new customer orders and modernize the existing machinery fleet. With the acquisition of these new machines, Riegler will further increase the level of automation. "Our focus for new investments for our customers is on the latest technologies and the highest possible process reliability with optimal automation," states Dr. Thomas Jakob, the medical technology specialist. In addition to new technologies and injection molding machines, Riegler is investing over five million euros primarily in expanding digitalization and production capacity.

As a system supplier, Riegler manufactures customer-specific precision solutions using technology platforms such as injection molding, blow molding, and assembly. The vast majority of production takes place in cleanroom conditions of ISO Class 7, due to the high sensitivity of the subsequent application areas of the plastic products, such as in laboratories and blood diagnostics, blood dialysis, or specific DNA analysis procedures.

Creation of an additional 30 jobs announced

In August 2018, Riegler GmbH & Co. KG announced in a press statement the short- to medium-term creation of 20 jobs for specialists in the Rhine-Main region — in fact, a total of 30 jobs were created during 2018: Currently, the manufacturer of plastic components for medical technology employs 330 staff members across three production sites in Mühltal and Ober-Ramstadt. For 2019, the creation of another 30 jobs at the Mühltal location is planned through additional customer projects.
