RICO Security Technology AG under new management

Starting January 1, 2020, personnel changes will take place in the management of RICO Sicherheitstechnik AG, based in Herisau, Switzerland: Aleksandar Agatonovic will assume the company's management in the future, which specializes in safety solutions in the field of constructive explosion protection as well as gas-tight air sealing. "I am very much looking forward to the responsible task and working in our newly established management team. Our success reassures us that we are on the right path and that our solutions are very well received in the market. Therefore, we will continue in this direction in the future and invest a lot of energy in our research and development to be able to offer forward-looking products," explains Aleksandar Agatonovic, who previously worked as Deputy Managing Director, Head of Sales, Marketing, Product Management, R&D, and After Sales at RICO. After studying Business Administration, Agatonovic started his career in the security sector at RICO, initially in purchasing and later leading business development. In 2016, he was appointed to the management board. Owner and current Managing Director Daniel Zellweger is handing over the business to his deputy to fully dedicate himself to his activities at FireEx Consultant GmbH and IT industry solutions. However, he will continue to serve as Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

Aside from personnel changes, some structural innovations will also be implemented. Anita Felder will also oversee sales, after sales, and product management in her role as Deputy Managing Director. Additionally, a new area for technical sales will be created.

RICO Sicherheitstechnik AG was founded in 1988 and has since established itself as a market leader in the field of explosion-proof decoupling. The VENTEX® valve has always been considered the product of choice when it comes to preventing explosion propagation and consequential damages. However, the company has also distinguished itself from the competition with other products. For example, the fastest explosion protection slide valve on the market also comes from RICO.
