Repeat desired: Three cooperating companies provided participants with theoretical knowledge combined with practical exercises for everyday professional life.
Cleanroom Experience Workshop: New edition of the training program already planned for 2019
The three companies bc-technology GmbH, ProMediPac Medical Packaging Technology GmbH/OW-Group gem. GmbH, and Medical Mountains AG have joined forces to organize a practical workshop on working in cleanrooms. The first edition of this training offering was held on March 8th in the cleanroom environment of ProMediPac in Mengen. The workshop received consistently positive feedback from both participants and organizing companies, so a repeat is already being planned.
"Workshops are always better than pure theory" – under this motto, Markus Huber, Sales Manager at the expert for innovative cleanroom systems bc-technology GmbH, Meinrad Kempf, responsible for further education at Medical Mountains AG, and Elke Weber, Production Manager at ProMediPac, presented themselves as experienced speakers and contacts and had prepared an engaging program for the participants, who mainly came from medical technology and the service sector. To achieve optimal learning success, the number of participants was limited to a maximum of 15. This allowed for better addressing individual concerns of each participant. The speakers focused on contamination and error source detection as well as prevention.
Further dates already in planning
The organizers from bc-technology, ProMediPac, and the Medical Mountains network expressed great satisfaction with the corporate cooperation and were pleased with the committed participants. Despite the limited timeframe, all tasks were completed, and the intended learning objectives were achieved. The connection of theory and practice was particularly helpful: many standards are familiar to employees, but there is still uncertainty in the practical implementation in many places. It was also important for the speakers to create a trusting atmosphere so that participants could openly share their own experiences from everyday work, enabling problems and solutions to be discussed constructively. In this way, the workshop provided a clear added value for all involved.
Since the one-day seminar was very well received, a new edition is already planned for 2019. Additionally, Medical Mountains AG will offer a three-day workshop on additive manufacturing in the fall. It aims to give participants the opportunity to learn about new technologies. In principle, the organizers of the seminars can also envision workshops on other topics – many areas such as different process techniques or materials, as well as quality assurance and improvement processes, lend themselves to training and further education of employees to promote know-how within companies and ensure high product quality. Regardless of the topic, future events will focus on training participants equally in theory and practice.
