Relocation and Renovation: Cleanroom Specialist Expands Company Usage Area to 3,000 m²

Since its founding in 2005, bc-technology GmbH has continuously grown to a company size of 75 full-time employees. To successfully manage this expansion, the experts in cleanroom technology expanded their company premises over the years with three rented buildings, totaling 1,700 m2. However, this division was inefficient for the employees' daily workflows due to the long distances. Therefore, bc-technology decided to reunite most of its business areas, such as plant construction and equipment technology. The company acquired an existing building in nearby Frickenhausen. "While we will maintain our location with the qualification in Dettingen an der Erms, we are consolidating all other departments into our new building with 2,360 m2 – this results in a total company usable area of 3,000 m2," reports Carsten Gäßner, Managing Director of bc-technology GmbH. "This centralization has the advantage of shortening the paths for our employees and making our workflows more efficient. This way, the departments in Frickenhausen can collaborate better."

Since October 2017, the renovation of the new site has been underway to meet the quality standards of bc-technology. This basic renovation not only created additional office space but also focused on providing ergonomic workstations – for example, through height-adjustable desks that can be optimally tailored to the needs of employees. Additionally, climate technology, compressed air systems, and the entire electrical installation including network cabling have been renewed. The renovation is expected to be completed by March 2018, so that the relocation of the individual departments can begin in early April. "Thanks to the new location, we feel well prepared for the future," summarizes Gäßner. "It has enough space to be adequately equipped even with additional expansion. Furthermore, there is the possibility to extend our capacities with an annex if needed." A ceremonial opening with invited guests from the entire corporate group is planned for the grand opening.
