In outdoor areas, especially when in contact with soil or water, wood requires permanent, effective protection against moisture and fungal attack. Vinkocide® CMIO from Vink Chemicals is an additive for the preservation of wood protection solutions and ensures that impregnation liquids used in industrial wood treatment achieve long-term resistance. The biocidal product is dosed directly into the wood protection solution to be protected and protects it against fungal infestation.

Wood in use class 4 is used outdoors and must withstand high stresses due to constant contact with soil or water. It is usually pressure impregnated and then dried (PT 11 according to BPR). The common active ingredient CMIT/MIT (CAS No. 55695-84-9) used for preserving the impregnation solution is often not sufficient.

Reliable long-term protection for impregnation liquids

Vink Chemicals offers Vinkocide® CMIO, a powerful biocide that protects wood protection solutions for use class 4 from fungal attack right from production. Vinkocide® CMIO combines the active ingredients CMIT/MIT with the preservative OIT (CAS No. 26530-20-1) and ensures a fungal-resistant wood impregnation.

Vinkocide® CMIO is an essential component of wood impregnation. This preservative guarantees that the treatment liquid for structural timber, boards, battens, and other construction timber is resistant to microbial decay.
