Reappearance at the Hein Technology Day

With a BOY XS, BOY presents itself at the 26th Technology Day of the Hein Design Office (September 29) at the Brandboxx in Langenhagen (Hannover). The German machine manufacturer has been an active exhibitor for many years and impresses visitors to the Technology Days with interesting applications year after year. The motto of this year's event is "Sustainable and energy-efficient production in Industry 4.0".

With a clamping force of 100 kN on a footprint of 0.87 m², the BOY XS sets standards in industrial continuous operation. The compact and highly energy-efficient injection molding machine offers numerous application possibilities in micro and gate-free small part injection molding with innovative and proven technologies. With an efficiency classification of 7+ according to Euromap 60.1, the BOY XS requires only an energy consumption of 0.49 kWh per kilogram of processed material.

The innovative and multiple patent-protected control system Procan ALPHA® 4 ensures absolute precision and repeatability with easy operation. Using a BOY WLAN stick – simply plugged into the screen of the BOY XS – the injection molding machine becomes network-capable. Complex installations for entry into the "Internet of Things" can be omitted. All previous LAN functions (EM 77/83, OPC_UA, VNC, NAS) are enabled via the BOY WLAN stick.

The freely overhanging two-plate clamping unit of the BOY XS, with diagonal arrangement of the tie bars, makes the plasticizing unit, tool area, and ejector easily accessible and facilitates the integration of automation equipment. Optionally, a special tool holder for micro-forms from many well-known standard parts manufacturers is available for the BOY XS.
