"Real milestone" – Schmalz expands US branch

The symbolic ribbon has been cut. Just a few days ago, Schmalz officially opened the expansion of its U.S. location nearly two years after the groundbreaking ceremony. The expansion of the Raleigh, North Carolina branch has created space for around 60 new jobs.

"This expansion is a real milestone and offers great added value for our customers," said Dr. Kurt Schmalz, managing partner of Schmalz. "The USA is an extraordinarily important market for us, so we look forward to the rapid development of our overseas subsidiary and anticipate further growth."

Schmalz has experienced a rapid rise in the USA. With the expansion, the area of the Raleigh branch has increased to around 8,000 square meters. For this, Schmalz invested a high single-digit million amount. Even before the expansion, the American location, founded in 1999, with around 110 employees, was one of the largest within the Schmalz Group. Now, approximately 60 more jobs are expected to be added in the future.

Schmalz is also pursuing its growth goals in other countries. The locations in India and China were significantly expanded last year through larger construction projects. Additionally, Schmalz will open another location in Bydgoszcz, Poland, later this year. Overall, the international Schmalz Group now has 29 locations worldwide with around 1,800 employees.
