Raumedic invests in Feuchtwangen

The Raumedic AG, a company of the Rehau Group, will continue to invest heavily in its location in Feuchtwangen. The system supplier for the medical technology and pharmaceutical industry plans to invest three million euros in machinery and equipment by 2016. In recent years, 5.5 million euros have already been spent on modernizing the compounding facilities, machinery, and cleanroom technology.

The polymer specialist mainly produces hoses for infusion and dialysis applications in cleanrooms, as well as plastic granulates for medical technology applications at its plant in Feuchtwangen. The production areas, laboratories, and offices are integrated into the Rehau AG + Co site. From there, the company supplies renowned customers in the medical and pharmaceutical industries worldwide. "Through these investments, we ensure that we can continue to offer our customers a technology platform for consistently high-quality products in the future," says Martin Schenkel, Director of Operations at Raumedic AG. The production capacities for medical cleanroom manufacturing are expected to increase by forty percent in the coming years. Not only new equipment and machinery are necessary for this, but above all, new qualified employees. Currently, seven new colleagues are being sought in Feuchtwangen for production and quality management.

The company recently announced that it will also expand its headquarters in Helmbrechts, Upper Franconia. There, 26 million euros will be invested in a new building with cleanroom production areas, manufacturing facilities, laboratories, and office spaces.
