Rapid-response, continuous gas flow monitoring with the new SFS Flow Module from IST AG

The new SFS Flow Module from Innovative Sensor Technology IST AG offers continuous gas flow monitoring with a response time ≤ 20 ms.

The innovative sensor technology IST AG expands its product portfolio with a flow module. The new SFS Flow Module is a linearized mass flow module for gases, ready to be integrated into applications.

The module is primarily used in gas supply systems, dosing systems, analytical devices, and distribution systems. But it is also used in process control, e.g., under protective atmosphere conditions in the low flow velocity range. The new SFS Flow Module from IST AG is suitable for integration into medical devices. In environmental technology, the SFS Flow Module can be used in gas analyzers and for continuous emission measurements (Emission Monitoring).

Thanks to the direction-independent calorimetric measurement, the SFS Flow Module offers fast, continuous gas flow monitoring with a response time ≤ 20 ms. The module is linearized from the factory with a reproducibility of 0.2% and an accuracy of up to 2% f.s., and is available in three versions for different volume flows: +/-50 sccm, +/-200 sccm, and +/-1000 sccm. Additionally, the flow module has both an analog and a digital I2C output and is equipped with two address pins. Another advantage of the new SFS Flow Module is its compact design. An installation space of only 50 x 40 x 20 mm is sufficient to integrate the module into a measurement unit.
