Quiet and compact

Especially suitable for laboratories and cleanrooms. The device produces oil-free and dry compressed air, is easy to operate, and can be placed under the table due to its low height.

Laboratories are nowadays equipped with a variety of measuring devices, tools, and instruments. They are used, among other things, for medical examinations, experiments, and quality control. Many applications require high-quality oil-free compressed air. The SICOLAB ("Silent Compressor for Laboratories") compressor unit from Dürr Technik is particularly suitable for this purpose.

Laboratories and facilities do not always have a separate compressor room. If a compressor is installed close to the workspace, especially quiet and compact devices are needed. A loud compressor disturbs work, and a large compressor takes up valuable space. The oil-free compressor unit SICOLAB offers the solution here, as the device is specially sound-insulated and vibration-reduced. Its compact dimensions allow it to be placed directly under the laboratory table. The mobile unit with wheels and handles can easily be used at other workstations as well.

SICOLAB provides oil-free compressed air, which is indispensable for many applications. Oil films damage valves and clog nozzles, but also test results can be distorted. With the environmentally friendly SICOLAB, oil level checks and the changing of oil and oil filters are eliminated. The compressor unit also offers another convenient advantage: it is equipped with a condensate evaporator. The resulting moisture collects in a container and evaporates through heat exchange. The condensate no longer needs to be manually emptied, making it a particularly user-friendly solution. Dürr Technik uses exclusively compressed air tanks with antibacterial interior coating for SICOLAB.

Different application areas require dry compressed air. This is made possible by using a membrane dryer, which is integrated within the soundproof housing. Optionally, an activated carbon and sterilizing filter with a filtration degree of 0.01 µm can also be installed.

The oil-free compressor unit can be connected via a simple plug-and-play system and operated intuitively. The air is drawn off via a quick coupling. An adjustable pressure reducer is mounted on the front, regulating pressure values up to 8 bar. On the back of the device, there is an additional compressed air connection. The system has high service life and is suitable for continuous operation. Maintenance is not necessary—except for the filter elements.
