Quick-curing epoxy resins reduce curing time by more than 50%
New epoxy resin primer Sikafloor-1590 and sealing Sikafloor-2650 from Sika
Sika Deutschland GmbH expands its product portfolio of high-performance flooring solutions. With the epoxy primer Sikafloor-1590 and the epoxy sealant Sikafloor-2650, curing time is reduced by more than 50%, enabling rapid re-commissioning of rooms and use of floors. Both the contractor and the client benefit from the time savings achieved.
A quick curing process has the advantage that all system layers can be applied in one day. This reduces travel to and from the construction site and ensures productive and economical site processing. Compared to a standard epoxy system, a full use of the floor is possible after just ten hours with the new Sika products Sikafloor-1590 and Sikafloor-2650 system coating.
New epoxy development increases productivity
Thanks to new epoxy developments, the curing time of primers and sealants is significantly accelerated. This not only shortens the waiting time between application steps but also allows more projects to be completed within the same timeframe. Both Sika new products are low-odor and have a low VOC content. Depending on the project scope, substrate temperature, and size of the application team, it is also possible to further accelerate curing with Sikafloor-54 Booster.
More speed also with polyurethane coatings
For polyurethane coatings, Sikafloor-3000 Snapbooster provides increased speed. The mixing and application times remain unchanged — only the subsequent curing process is accelerated, allowing all layers of the floor system to be applied in one day.
