qTOWER iris – qPCR product innovation will be presented at analytica 2024

This year's analytica features Analytik Jena (www.analytik-jena.de), a globally leading provider of analytical measurement technology, presenting the groundbreaking Real-Time PCR Thermocycler qTOWER iris. The qTOWER iris combines Analytik Jena's extensive qPCR experience in one device. The uncompromising open system offers an extended wavelength range from UV-A to NIR, enables multiplexing for up to six targets, and allows users to freely select their modules, consumables, reagents, and assays.

The complete spectrum

From UV-A to near-infrared (NIR) – qTOWER iris delivers clear signals across the entire spectrum and achieves the highest flexibility in the field of Real-Time PCR thermocyclers. With its unique multicolor LED light source and matching filter modules, the new qTOWER iris allows optimal resolution of individual color channels and provides reliable qPCR results when multiplexing up to 6 targets.

Open for the future

Like every Analytik Jena qPCR device, the qTOWER iris offers maximum flexibility for future applications. The system, with its freely configurable color filter selection, is open to all qPCR consumables, reagents, and assays. The color modules are available individually and can be purchased as needed at any time. The device is factory calibrated, eliminating the need for recalibration when new dyes are introduced.

Precise research without edge effects

During heating and cooling, target temperature is precisely controlled, reliably avoiding artifacts. Thanks to homogeneous temperature distribution across the entire block, edge effects are a thing of the past. The deviation is ± 0.15 degrees Celsius, compared to the market standard of ± 0.4 degrees Celsius. The reading results are also exceptionally precise: since the fiber optics advance in a split manner, they read each well from the same angle, unlike camera optics.

Effortless operation with maximum ergonomics

qTOWER iris offers ergonomics at the highest level. This includes a self-test performed by the device before each run, the possibility to verify the glass fibers with Fibercheck, a robust and smooth-operating mechanism, and an elegant, minimalist design focused on functionality. Acoustic signals are also reduced. The new generation of Real-Time PCR thermocyclers operates ergonomically and whisper-quiet, ensuring a calm laboratory atmosphere.
