Purity Technology Award »CLEAN! 2015« announced nationwide in Europe

Pure manufacturing technology is considered a key technology that drives important innovations across industries. The production of microchips, flat screens, implants, pharmaceutical active ingredients, or micro- and nanoproducts would be unthinkable without a clean, pure, or ultra-pure manufacturing environment. Outstanding ideas in purity technology not only enable completely new products but also make production processes more economical.

The Fraunhofer IPA also recognizes groundbreaking developments in the industry this year through the announcement of the Fraunhofer Purity Technology Award »CLEAN!« and invites companies to present their new applications and technologies. The award, which has so far been focused on the German-speaking region, is being expanded to the European market for the first time this year. Jury chairman Dr. Udo Gommel is pleased about the support from national professional associations: »The jury is looking forward to the submissions. We also observe excellent performances in France, Ireland, Scotland, Austria, and, for example, Switzerland, which should not be missing in such a competition!«

The three top-rated contributions, selected by an independent expert jury, will be presented by the winners at a specialized event and subsequently awarded. The application deadline is April 30, 2015. For online application: www.cleanroom.fraunhofer.de/clean2015.
