When the industry trade fair TechnoPharm opens its doors in Nuremberg from April 23 to 25, 2013, Hager + Elsässer will also present its solutions for the pharmaceutical industry. As a specialist in pharmaceutical water treatment, the Stuttgart-based company knows that a demand-oriented plant significantly helps optimize operating and investment costs. Therefore, Hager + Elsässer will showcase at its booth the ROCEDIS.direct PW-TS, a PW generator system that supplies purified water directly via an internal loop of the WFI production and the pure steam generator. The entire system, including the loop, can be sanitized with hot water above 80°C.

This concept provides pharmaceutical manufacturers with a reliable and compact solution for producing PW that can be implemented at any desired capacity. The process stages in the system displayed at the fair consist of deionization, reverse osmosis, membrane degassing, and electrodeionization. The ROCEDIS.direct then supplies the outlets directly via a ring line without a storage tank. By focusing on the essentials, the investment costs for PW storage tanks, pumps, sanitization units, and instrumentation are eliminated. Additionally, users of this simplified system save space as well as operational and monitoring costs.

At the same time, the high requirements for chemical and microbiological quality of pharmaceutical water are reliably met: coupling reverse osmosis and electrodeionization not only achieves the desired conductivity but also significantly reduces TOC, microbes, and pyrogens. In combination with hot water sanitization, process safety is guaranteed at all times.

Thanks to its modular design, the ROCEDIS product family can be easily expanded to produce, for example, Highly Purified Water. Of course, Hager + Elsässer can also offer complete systems for all water qualities as a full-service provider. In practice, the ROCEDIS d WFI generator system is followed by DESTOMAT or the pure steam generator VAPOMAT, connected with the respective storage and distribution systems up to the point of use (POU). Due to the company's extensive industry knowledge and long-standing experience, the system manufacturer is able to undertake complete projects from preliminary planning and engineering to execution and project completion.
