Pure gases and gas mixtures from our own filling
Tyczka Air Gases opens modern specialty gases plant in central Germany
With the opening of a modern specialty gases plant, Tyczka Air Gases GmbH produces pure gases as well as gas mixtures and calibration gases from its own filling facilities for its customers. This investment – both in the Würzburg location and in the existing specialty gases division – enables the company to respond even more flexibly and independently to the often highly individual requirements of its target groups. The new plant was officially opened on May 15, 2024.
For over 40 years, Tyczka Air Gases GmbH (formerly Tyczka Industrie-Gase GmbH) has been active in the industrial gases business, and the plant in Würzburg has existed for just as long. It all started in 1984 with a filling station for technical gases such as nitrogen, oxygen, and argon; later, a refrigeration system was added. The latest milestone is now the newly built specialty gases plant.
“Specialty gases have been a fixed part of our product portfolio for many years. With our modern and digitalized plant, we can now also offer products from our own filling facilities to customers in Germany and Central Europe. This means a higher degree of independence and efficiency for us,” explains Dr. Frank Götzelmann (Spokesperson for the management of the Tyczka Group).
The pure gases and gas mixtures produced in Würzburg are used not only in the life sciences but in almost all industries, such as environmental technology or the chemical industry. The filling is carried out in high-pressure cylinders and aluminum pressure cans; the latter are particularly suitable for small gas quantities and can be shipped by mail. Depending on the product, additional delivery forms include bundles, pallet tanks, and tank systems.
Precision is Key
“‘Specialty Gases – When Precision Matters,’” translates to “when accuracy counts.” This claim describes what we stand for with our specialty gases – for precision, efficiency, and above all, accuracy,” emphasizes Stefan Grube (Head of Product Management for Specialty Gases).
The requirements of customers from industries such as laboratories and analytics, research and development, or even the pharmaceutical industry are often highly individual. The complex manufacturing and filling of pure gases and certified gas mixtures therefore require not only a high level of expertise but also involve many different testing and measurement steps. To demonstrate this quality, Tyczka’s products come with an analysis certificate according to DIN ISO 6141. The portfolio is rounded off with gas extraction and pressure regulation equipment tailored to specialty gases.
