Pure air in a small space

Whether in microstructure technology, optics, or semiconductor production: for many industries, producing and manufacturing components in a clean or particle-free environment is becoming increasingly important. The main application of the Spetec cleanroom workbench or mini-environment is in the optical, electronic, and mechanical industries. The cleanroom workbench can be customized according to customer requirements and the desired cleanroom class. This means that in terms of size, equipment, and design, it is adapted to the respective needs.

The device is usually made from cleanroom-compatible aluminum profiles. The side walls are either made of glass, acrylic glass, or a strip curtain encloses the box. A laminar flow module is then mounted on top, creating a cleanroom class 5 inside the box. This corresponds to only about 100 particles of size 0.5 µm. Compared to approximately 1 million particles per cubic foot in a typical office or laboratory, this represents an improvement in air quality by a factor of 10,000.

A key difference compared to a Spetec laminar flow box (FBS series, desktop device) is the fact that the cleanroom workbench can be fully customized in size and equipment to meet the customer's needs, e.g., with the choice of work surface, which is offered as perforated sheet, stainless steel, or hard laminate. This results in a standalone, customer-specific cleanroom workstation.
