Productive, sustainable, and digital towards the future
Year in Review 2025
Once again last year, it was evident that technology "made in Eschweiler" is also used in extraordinary projects – from space robots to a parking tower to fitness equipment. To create more space for its own products and customized solutions, Rodriguez took a forward-looking step in 2025: with the inauguration of a new, state-of-the-art manufacturing hall and the continuous transition to a new ERP system, more and more production processes are running digitally, and workflows are integrating even better.
One of the highlights was the inauguration of the new manufacturing hall at the beginning of the year: The 3,000-square-meter building offers plenty of space for manufacturing its own products and customized solutions – a real milestone for linear technology. This is accompanied by further digitization steps in manufacturing, optimized workflows, and stable production processes, also thanks to a future-proof, company-wide ERP system. Additionally, a modern ventilation system and LED lighting ensure minimal energy consumption. "With our new building project, we have demonstrated that sustainability and automation are not opposites but complement each other well," said Gunther Schulz, Managing Partner of Rodriguez GmbH.
Sustainability is also reflected in the use of a Munich startup, which Rodriguez has supported this year with its ball joint connections. In the company's vertical parking tower, cars are parked one above the other – saving valuable space in cities and reducing ground sealing. The ball joint connections ensure the safe storage of the tower's rotating drive system. Since this year, Rodriguez's ball screw spindles have also been used in an innovative application: they are integrated into a special barbell with movable handles. The "Squeezebar" thus offers high smoothness of operation and stability, ensuring high performance.
But not only technology, but also the people at Rodriguez shaped the past year: continuous training on digitalization, new apprentices, and numerous trade fair appearances, including at All about automation, bauma, SpaceTech.NRW, automatica, and Night of the Companies, demonstrate the company's full innovative strength.
At the end of the year, Rodriguez has a special tradition: instead of giving gifts to customers and business partners, the company donates to charitable organizations in the region. In 2025, donations will go to, among others, the Ronald McDonald House in Aachen, which offers a temporary home for parents of seriously ill children near children's hospitals. Furthermore, Rodriguez supports the Vinzenz-Heim in Aachen this year, which enables people with disabilities to participate in social life. The animal protection association and the animal shelter of the Städteregion Aachen e.V. will also receive a donation.
