Premier platform for German companies

The central presentation platform for German companies will be one of the exhibition highlights at swop - Shanghai World of Packaging. The trade fair quartet, taking place for the first time from November 17 to 20, 2015, at the Shanghai New Exhibition Center (SNIEC), includes CHINA PHARM, PacPro Asia, FoodPex, and BulkPex. The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) supports German companies in participating at the joint stand.

The global packaging market is considerable and growing rapidly. Experts anticipate a worldwide growth of an additional 130 billion euros, reaching 715 billion euros by 2018. The Asia region, with China at the forefront, is the most important market. Against this background, German manufacturers are very pleased about this international trade fair in Shanghai. "Together with our companies, we look forward to presenting German technology in this market, which is central to all of Asia," said Dr. Markus Heering, Managing Director of Printing and Paper Technology, on behalf of the Packaging Forum at VDMA.

With swop – Shanghai World of Packaging, Messe Düsseldorf complements its successful family of international packaging trade fairs in a highly interesting market. Together, the four events cover the entire value chain of the packaging industry and related process industries. The offerings range from packaging materials, packing supplies, and auxiliary materials to packaging printing and labeling, packaging solutions especially for the food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical industries, as well as outer and bulk packaging and logistics systems. The four trade fairs, which are expected to feature over 1,500 exhibitors and more than 60,000 visitors, complement each other perfectly:
At PacPro Asia, the International Trade Fair for Packaging, Material Production, and Processing, everything revolves around the manufacturing and refinement of packing materials from various materials. Other topics include packaging printing, labeling, and recycling. Thus, PacPro Asia brings together themes from the Düsseldorf fairs drupa, glasstec, interpack, and K.

The exhibitors at FoodPex, the International Trade Fair for the Food Processing and Packaging Industries, will specifically showcase packaging solutions for the food and beverage industry – modern technologies and materials, processing and filling systems, as well as testing, safety, and disposal equipment.

At BulkPex, the International Trade Fair for Technology and Equipment in Bulk Packaging, technological solutions for outer and bulk packaging will be presented. Machines and plants are as much part of the exhibition as labeling and product tracking systems.

CHINA-PHARM, China International Pharmaceutical and Cosmetic Industry Exhibition, has been successfully established in the market since 1996. The focus is on innovative products and solutions for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries.

Various theme forums will complement the presentations of the exhibitors within the four trade fairs. For example, recent developments in the pharmaceutical industry will be discussed at the ISPE-CCPIE China Conference. The China International Cosmetics Convention will invite cosmetic experts from Asia, Europe, and America to exchange current experiences. The range of topics will include manufacturing, legal regulations, and marketing strategies. For professionals from the food and beverage industry, the China International Food Convention will be of interest: it will focus on trends and international concepts.

At the swop trade fair quartet, Messe Düsseldorf and its subsidiary Messe Düsseldorf Shanghai collaborate with long-standing partner Adsale Exhibition Services and the China Center for Food & Drug International Exchange (CCFDIE). The Shanghai World of Packaging is supported by the Packaging Forum, recently founded by the VDMA technical associations for Printing and Paper Technology, Plastics and Rubber Machinery, as well as Food Processing and Packaging Machinery.
