Bürkert complements its membrane valve offer with an electric actuator shut-off valve and an electric actuator control valve.

The product family of electrically driven process valves from Bürkert is complemented by membrane valves. The shut-off valve type 3323 and the control valve type 3363 complete the electrically actuated valve program and set new standards – especially for applications without compressed air supply – in terms of performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

The valves with electric drives complement Bürkert's range for applications where no pneumatic drive is desired or where compressed air is unavailable, or can only be transported with high effort. They offer high control quality during highly dynamic regulation and achieve the set target value precisely and without delay with a dynamic of 4 mm/s. The maximum closing time is under 4.5 seconds. Unlike pneumatic valves, they cannot exhibit overshoot or undershoot behavior. Since the control is integrated compactly into the actuator, the control cabinet installation as well as field wiring and energy requirements for compressed air supply are eliminated. Due to the electric drive principle, the driving force can be adapted to the respective application, which extends membrane life and maintenance intervals and reduces maintenance costs.

Safety in Focus

The electric drives can be combined with the various standard housings and membranes of the pneumatically based ELEMENT product family. Electric valves are very economical due to their low energy costs and savings in the overall system. A particular advantage of the Bürkert solution is an innovative locking torque brake that fixes the valve position without additional energy consumption. In case of a power failure, the safety position can be reached via the optional energy storage SAFEPOS energy-pack. The safety position can also be variably adapted to the process. The valve position is always visible thanks to a mechanical position indicator, and the 360° LED ring clearly indicates position and status during operation.

Hygienic, High-Quality, Durable

The fieldbus-compatible membrane valves of types 3323 / 3363 are made exclusively from high-quality components. The linear movement is performed by a brushless DC motor plus planetary gear through a low-friction, lifetime-lubricated ball screw. Unlike pneumatic drives, this prevents the valve from drifting due to pressure shocks. The aluminum housing with a robust powder coating and protection class IP65/IP67 features a design that is easy to clean and closed. The shut-off and control valves are weatherproof, shockproof, and resistant to vibrations, making them well suited for demanding environmental conditions.

Made for Hygiene Applications

The new Bürkert electric membrane valves are offered as shut-off (type 3323) and control valves (type 3363) with connection sizes up to D50. The FDA-, USP-, and EHEDG-compliant valves are particularly suitable for cleanroom, filling, packaging, and CIP/SIP applications in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, as well as in dairy or cosmetics industries and for industrial water treatment. In systems where compressed air supply is undesirable or unavailable, electric valves are ideal. For valves located far from the central compressed air supply, ongoing costs can be reduced. The improved control characteristics also favor electric valve drives.
