From our point of view, there couldn’t be a better way for a trade fair to run. For Reinraum Online, the 10 lounges at the Stuttgart exhibition grounds were not only a home game but also a home run. We are pleased about that.

"You are really always good for a surprise!", exclaimed an enthusiastic trade fair visitor as he entered the Reinraum Online booth at the lounges and couldn't take his eyes off the bright red Tesla limousine there. After Reinhold Schuster, founder of Reinraum Online and publisher of Reinraum Printline, already drew significant attention last year with his matte black Harley-Davidson among mostly male visitors, he topped it this year: Through a cooperation with the innovative car manufacturer Tesla, which produces its emission-free electric cars in the cleanroom, he was able to present a brand-new Model S. And so, the stunning hostesses at the booth first offered interested visitors a personal copy of Reinraum Printline and information about Reinraum Online, then charmingly invited them to sit for a test.

But not only did the car of the future show where the journey is headed. The booth design, with two large poster boards behind glass featuring a futuristic skyline, clearly positioned Reinraum Online as a platform for the future of cleanroom communication. To meet this claim, the online service at www.reinraum.de has made numerous optimizations, including the monthly newsletter and the print edition, Reinraum Printline.

Reinhold Schuster comments: "The information and communication behavior of people has changed significantly in recent years and continues to evolve. As an information platform, we naturally have to respond to this. We meet the increasing demand of users to find current information spontaneously and highly up-to-date on the internet through the daily news on www.reinraum.de. Both the content and presentation have now been further optimized with an improved search function." The newsletter from Reinraum Online, sent monthly to more than 4,000 subscribers, reflects the month's information and arrives as a push service directly to the reader. Schuster: "Our goal is to further expand the subscriber base for the newsletter. Therefore, we will increasingly publish editorial content from the research & development sector and target specific topics such as jobs or sales. Additionally, we will incorporate more content from the internet forum."

Regarding the print edition of the information service, known as Reinraum Printline, there are undoubtedly the most noticeable changes. Schuster states: "Trade magazines published quarterly are usually outdated upon release, leafed through by readers, and then discarded. To counter this trend, we decided to publish our magazine as an annual edition starting in 2016. The first Printline yearbook has been available since early April and now functions as a compendium, a market overview, even a reference work. It is intended to be a solid source of information with a retrospective and outlook for 'veterans' and to give 'young' employees an overview of the industry. Such a magazine, especially in a contemporary layout, has a collectible character and naturally offers a clear added value for readers and advertisers."

For the publisher, the new sections "Institutes, Associations, Societies" and the "Expert Pool," where addresses with contact details are organized into categories for quick access to suppliers and specialists, are important. Also significant are technical information, company news, trade fair previews and reviews, the "Cleansman" section, which features an article about the history of cleanroom development per issue, and the "Awards and Recognitions" section. "We also want to report more on people. After all, it's not just robots working in the cleanroom, but mainly people," concludes Reinhold Schuster, who looks forward to feedback, suggestions, wishes, comments, and also constructive criticism for the Reinraum Printline as a yearbook.
