Piepenbrock opens training and education center
Training cleanroom cleaning under realistic conditions
On October 23rd and 24th, the Cleanroom Fair Cleanzone will take place in Frankfurt am Main. Piepenbrock is also represented at this important industry-wide trade fair. The family-owned company will not only present its extensive cleanroom services this year. The focus is also on the opening of its own training and education center for cleanroom cleaning.
At Cleanzone, operators of clean and sterile rooms as well as industry professionals from pharmaceuticals and medical technology, microtechnology, research institutes, and service companies are expected. At the joint booth of the German Cleanroom Institute (DRRI), Piepenbrock will showcase its broad range of services and innovative procedures in cleanroom cleaning. "We look forward to showing visitors the advancements in our highly specialized industry," says Norbert Gürke, Head of the Cleanroom Cleaning Department at Piepenbrock.
Comprehensive service at the highest level
The offerings of the cleanroom specialist Piepenbrock are extensive: from maintenance cleaning of all cleanroom classes according to ISO 14644-1 and GMP guidelines, to special cleaning services, to shuttle and laundry services — including all necessary documentation. "Our customers especially appreciate three key advantages of our all-round service: our high competence in cleanroom cleaning, the individually tailored concepts, and the comprehensive range of services," sums up Gürke, highlighting his company's strengths.
Training and education center for cleanroom cleaning
Piepenbrock will also present its own training and education center for cleanroom cleaning at the trade fair. It is part of the Piepenbrock Technology Center in Osnabrück and is expected to be completed by mid-2019. With two cleanrooms built to ISO and GMP standards, including shuttle areas, the training center enables the teaching of proper behavior in the cleanroom under realistic conditions. "We are aware of the great responsibility and challenges in cleanroom cleaning. Therefore, it was our goal to create an optimal training environment," emphasizes Norbert Gürke. "We want to raise our employees' awareness to the highest level and provide them with a comprehensive understanding of cleanroom procedures."
Theory and practice closely linked
The multifunctional training and education center covers more than 160 sqm and complies with all relevant guidelines. The replica of the ISO cleanroom features a raised floor, and in the GMP room, employees can practice wiping techniques on a pharmaceutical floor with an appropriate cove to the wall. Proper dressing techniques and hygienic requirements are practiced by staff in the shuttle area. Cleaning techniques for ceilings, walls, floors, and furnishings, as well as the proper use of cleaning agents and materials, can also be optimally trained. "We have designed the various areas so that the teaching of theoretical content is immediately followed by practical implementation," Gürke explains further. "Our training center offers highly realistic conditions to sustainably teach the correct behavior in the cleanroom."
