Piepenbrock ensures cleanliness at FEUER Powertrain

Piepenbrock has been carrying out an extensive cleaning contract for FEUER Powertrain GmbH & Co. KG in Nordhausen since February 1, 2021. Not only the size of the operational area but also special floor coverings pose particular challenges for maintenance cleaning. Piepenbrock convinced with a needs-based concept.

FEUER Powertrain manufactures ready-to-install crankshafts for the automotive industry and supplies them to its customers. The company's headquarters and production site are cleaned by twelve Piepenbrock employees in two shifts. The total area covered by the contract is over 36,000 square meters. This includes the maintenance cleaning of office spaces, sanitary areas, and the in-house canteen. Another area of work is the cleaning of the production facilities. The routes in the factory halls must be cleaned twice and free of oil residues. This ensures a slip-free journey for the autonomous floor conveyor vehicles of the crankshaft manufacturer. "In addition to cleanliness and safety, we naturally also focus on innovations in maintenance cleaning. We are especially pleased that we will be testing new cleaning technologies at FEUER Powertrain in the future," says Hans-Otto Büttner, Piepenbrock branch manager in Göttingen.

Joint project led to success

Several departments of the building service provider were involved in the implementation for the client. Special floor coverings in the factory halls required cross-departmental expertise. Piepenbrock’s technical management supported the responsible branch in selecting the cleaning machines. The Piepenbrock subsidiary Planol provided advice and support as a manufacturer of cleaning agents in search of the right cleaning chemistry. Gansow Gmatic supplied the appropriate scrubber-driers. Schneiderreit equipped FEUER Powertrain with high-quality industrial washing machines. Both suppliers impressed with their comprehensive consulting and customized solutions. Büttner praises the collaboration: "As a team, we found and successfully established the best possible cleaning process for FEUER Powertrain." The smooth process and reliable working method are also appreciated by the crankshaft manufacturer. "We are very satisfied with the start of the contract and the work of the Piepenbrock team," says Nadja Lala, buyer at FEUER Powertrain. "The concept was well thought out and tailored to our requirements. Additionally, communication between the Piepenbrock branch in Göttingen and us runs flawlessly. Short-term requests are implemented quickly and easily," Lala continues.
