Peter Pühringer succeeds Gerald Vogt

Peter Pühringer takes over the management of Stäubli Robotics Bayreuth from Gerald Vogt, who, as Group Division Manager, oversees the global robotics business from the Stäubli headquarters in Faverges. With Pühringer, an experienced robotics insider assumes responsibility for the markets of Germany, Austria, and Scandinavia.

The 42-year-old engineer, who completed an apprenticeship as a toolmaker before studying automation and process engineering, combines mechanical know-how with solid robotics expertise. Pühringer began his professional career in robotics at Robert Bosch GmbH and moved to Bayreuth in 2005 when Stäubli took over Bosch Rexroth's SCARA series.

As Division Manager Robotics, Pühringer aims to continue his predecessor's proactive expansion strategy and to excel in service offerings at the Bayreuth site. One of his goals is also to quickly bring groundbreaking developments to market. "It is important to me to further develop our robot program towards new market segments and applications, with a focus on mobile robotics. Currently, we are launching a new product for mobile applications," says Pühringer.
