Permanent dust-catching mats

Maintaining cleanliness in access areas to controlled environments and in cleanrooms as well as clean areas presents a significant challenge for companies. Particles unintentionally brought into critical areas can transfer harmful germs or cause production errors and quality issues when manufacturing sensitive components.

To prevent particles from entering critical areas, suitable dust control mats are often used. They easily pick up particles from shoe soles and wheels of equipment carts.

Depending on the requirements, different variants are available. One option is the use of adhesive foil mats with peel-off films. These are also available in an antibacterial version.

As an alternative to adhesive foil mats, permanent sticky mats are used. These permanently adhesive dust-catching mats are made from a durable styrene-butadiene mixture that also retains stubborn dirt particles from shoe soles and wheels.

Unlike adhesive foil mats, permanent dust-catching mats need to be cleaned. During cleaning, the captured particles are released again. Cleaning with a sponge and soapy solution is simple. This temporarily reduces the adhesive effect. It is also possible to treat them with common disinfectants. Immediately after drying, they regain their strong adhesive power, and the dust-catching mat can be reused.

Permanent dust control mats can be placed directly in front of access points to critical areas on a clean surface — no special holders are required.

The dust control mats are available in various sizes and thicknesses. The 3mm material thickness is suitable for walking, while the 6mm thickness is additionally suitable for driving over. Standard sizes are 1200 x 600 mm and 1000 x 1000 mm. From now on, the 1000 mm mats in 3 mm thickness are also available by the meter.
