Performance increased: Can block now with 14-head module team
With an impressive capacity of up to 110,000 cans per hour, the new 14-head version of the module seamer expands the Krones closure portfolio for cans and offers an optimal complementary machine size between the 12-head and 18-head variants.
The development of the module seamer is thus designed for all those who want to combine high-performance capabilities with high-end hygiene conditions.
As before, the latest model of the can closure system features completely hermetically separated process and drive areas – a true unique selling point of hygienic block solutions. Cables and supply lines are located outside the process area, and all components within the process area itself are made of stainless steel. The closure system can be cleaned with hot caustic soda, which removes bacteria, yeasts, and spores even more reliably than conventional foam cleaning.
Other design highlights include, for example, quick-change systems for optimized changeover times, as well as an optimization of all components involved in the transfer to ensure smooth transport of the cans.
Block configuration also possible with small cleanroom
Preferably, Krones integrates the machine into its filler-closure block for cans, called the Modulfill Bloc FS-C. Beverage producers benefit from a perfect interplay of both systems: because the block solution reduces interfaces through shared facilities (such as a centrally operated Human Machine Interface, or HMI) and also requires significantly less space than separate filler and closure setups.
For sensitive beverages, the Modulfill Bloc FS-C is also available with a small cleanroom upon request. This reduces the footprint by around 35 percent and the building height by about 2.5 meters (compared to conventional block solutions). In isolator design, the Modulfill Bloc FS-C with the new closure system is, by the way, the fastest and most compact can system on the market.
