parts2clean – Industry meeting point for parts and surface cleaning
parts2clean 2021 (October 5th to 7th, 2021)
With a comprehensive and up-to-date range of products and solutions, the three-day trade fair parts2clean will start on October 5th at the Stuttgart exhibition grounds. The industry of parts and surface cleaning is meeting again after the pandemic-related break this fall for the first time to inform and discuss the latest developments and trends.
Component cleanliness is one of the most important key factors for high-quality products and effective process chains. With parts2clean in Stuttgart, Deutsche Messe offers the most internationally significant platform for industrial parts and surface cleaning. "With around 130 exhibitors from 10 countries, we have succeeded despite the pandemic-related uncertainties in organizing an excellent trade fair with all leading market participants," says Arno Reich, Business Area Manager at Deutsche Messe AG. "Many industries, especially medical technology or semiconductor technology, the automotive industry, or aerospace, find products and services for component cleaning at parts2clean."
Innovations and Developments
This year as well, parts2clean offers numerous new and further developments. The trade fair premieres include plant, process, and procedure technology, cleanrooms and ultra-clean rooms, cleaning media and containers, workpiece carriers and washing baskets, degreasing and cleaning solutions, ultrasonic cleaning devices, as well as bath care, cleanliness control, corrosion protection, and packaging.
Experts inform
In addition to exhibitor presentations, the parts2clean forum offers a unique knowledge platform with more than 50 lectures over all three days of the fair, covering all topics related to parts and surface cleaning. The content organization has once again been undertaken by the Cleaning Business Unit at Fraunhofer. Technical cleanliness has long established itself as a clear quality feature. However, automated quality monitoring and digital process control methods are often still a challenge for cleaning processes. On the other hand, artificial intelligence and machine learning offer new, still largely untapped possibilities for industrial component cleaning. The constantly increasing requirements for surface and component cleanliness demand not only highly efficient cleaning technologies to achieve the required product properties but also seamless integration of these processes and the associated peripherals into the entire production chain.
Fraunhofer study on market situation and future trends
A highlight within the forum is the presentation of the Fraunhofer study on the market situation and future trends in the field of industrial component cleaning. "Customer industries are in upheaval: the end of combustion engines seems to be announced, electromobility is in full swing, the hydrogen economy is being built from the ground up... and then COVID-19 with lockdowns and chaotic supply chains. However, the new market and trend analysis by the Fraunhofer Cleaning Business Unit shows that the cleaning industry is solid and looking positively into the future. The technical forum makes it clear that challenges have been accepted and addressed with innovations. The COVID-19 crisis has demonstrated how important medical and pharmaceutical technology is for the stability of the healthcare economy. Therefore, the most extensive session of the forum is dedicated to important cleaning topics in this industry," says Frank Holm Rögner, coordinator and head of the Cleaning Business Unit at Fraunhofer.
The study analyzed survey results from providers and users of industrial cleaning technology and compiled them in a concise and clear manner. A comparison with the results from 2012 reveals developments and trends and sheds light on the economic impact of the current COVID-19 pandemic on the market environment.
