parts2clean 2020: The international hub for component cleanliness

The transformation in numerous industrial sectors and markets presents companies with new and changing challenges – including in industrial parts and surface cleaning. This trend is reflected in parts2clean 2020. The leading trade fair is the information and procurement platform for industrial cleaning technology for users from practically all high-tech and manufacturing industries as well as recycling.

New product requirements, among other things due to alternative drives and the energy transition, innovative manufacturing technologies and processes such as additive manufacturing, digital transformation, and AI, stricter regulatory requirements, and climate protection goals – these are just a few examples that have triggered far-reaching transformation processes in various industries. Manufacturing steps such as parts and surface cleaning are increasingly important both in production and recycling: component cleanliness is the foundation for sufficient quality in subsequent processes and for long-term flawless product function.

The current transformation processes therefore require future-proof solutions in industrial component cleaning that are tailored to the respective product and task spectrum as well as the individual situation. To make appropriate investment decisions, a comprehensive overview of development trends, technologies, procedures, processes, and providers is necessary. "In the field of component cleaning, parts2clean enables broad monitoring in an effective and efficient way," says Olaf Daebler, Global Director parts2clean at Deutsche Messe AG. "It is the world's largest trade fair where all segments of industrial cleaning technology and all relevant providers are represented."

The platform where decision-makers get informed

For 18 years, parts2clean has been the number one information and procurement platform for users from different industries and countries. The visitor analysis of the 2019 fair shows that more than one-third of trade visitors exclusively gather information about solutions at parts2clean. With 86 percent, the proportion of professional visitors involved in operational investment processes is above average. Just over three-quarters of visitors came with concrete investment and purchase intentions, with 39 percent having an investment volume of more than 100,000 euros. This creates excellent opportunities for exhibitors to initiate business: "parts2clean is visited by company representatives who come with specific tasks and are looking for solutions. We have been able to generate an order intake of around 30 percent from these very well-founded contacts in the following one to two years," reports Karl-Heinz Menauer, Sales & Technology at acp Systems AG.

Added value through special formats and an attractive supporting program

The cross-industry and cross-technology offering along the process chain of industrial parts and surface cleaning enables users from all manufacturing sectors and recycling to specifically and effectively gather information about processes, procedures, media, measures, and providers. In addition, the upcoming parts2clean will focus on tasks such as cleaning in optoelectronics, medical technology, and electronics manufacturing. Automation and digitalization of cleaning processes, the increasingly important removal of filmic-chemical contaminants, fine cleaning, and quality control in cleanrooms/clean environments, as well as the selective treatment of functional surfaces are further topics that will play a role at the leading trade fair in 2020. "The presentations will not only address the current state of technology but also future requirements and solutions," says Daebler.

Special formats such as "Process sequence for component cleaning with cleanliness control in a cleanroom" and "QSREIN 4.0" provide visitors with information on specific areas and invite discussion on innovations.

With the three-day technical forum, conducted in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Alliance for Cleaning Technology and the Industrial Parts Cleaning Association (FiT), parts2clean is one of the most internationally sought-after sources of knowledge. The simultaneously translated lectures (German <> English) deal with trends, innovations, topics, and experience reports from all areas of industrial parts and surface cleaning.

The Guided Tours, conducted twice daily in English, particularly enable less experienced visitors to learn about various aspects of component and surface cleaning along the process chain. They will get to know solutions, innovations, and providers for their individual tasks in a targeted way. Participating exhibitors present their products and innovations directly at their booth to an interested professional audience and can thus establish additional contacts.
