– The importance of component cleaning continues to grow

Whether parts manufacturing or processing, component cleaning has a decisive influence on the quality of subsequent production processes as well as the final product quality. Accordingly, the requirements for particulate and film cleanliness are very high—and they continue to increase. To remain competitive, companies worldwide aim to achieve the necessary component cleanliness as cost-effectively as possible. However, this can only be achieved through continuous process optimization. parts2clean, which will be held from October 23 to 25, 2018, at the Stuttgart exhibition grounds, is the international information and procurement platform for this purpose.

The relevance of parts2clean is also demonstrated by the very high proportion of decision-makers among the trade visitors, at 87 percent. “81 percent of the trade visitors came to parts2clean in 2017 with the intention to invest,” says Olaf Daebler, Global Director parts2clean at Deutsche Messe AG. “Almost half of them planned investments of more than 100,000 euros.” In 2017, around 4,900 trade visitors from 41 countries traveled to the international flagship trade fair for industrial parts and surface cleaning.

Complete process chain and attractive special formats

For exhibitors, this resulted not only in intensive discussions and first-class contacts but also in direct contract closures. Therefore, it is not surprising that by mid-February, more than 80 companies had already booked their stand space for the upcoming event. This accounts for around 45 percent of the net exhibition space of the 2017 fair, including nearly all market and technology leaders from various segments. These include systems, processes, and process media, as well as their preparation for degreasing, cleaning, and pre-treatment of components, handling and process automation, containers and workpiece carriers, cleanroom and sterile room technology, quality assurance, testing methods, and analysis procedures for cleanliness control, corrosion protection, preservation, and packaging, as well as contract cleaning. In addition to the broad range of offerings along the entire process chain, which is unmatched anywhere else in the world, parts2clean emphasizes topics such as deburring, cleaning in electronics manufacturing and medical technology, as well as fine cleaning and quality control in cleanrooms/sterile rooms. “The presentations not only address the current state of technology but also requirements and solutions arising from global trends such as digitalization, electromobility, miniaturization, and lightweight construction,” explains Daebler.

Technical forum and guided tours in two languages

parts2clean is also recognized worldwide as a knowledge source among users. This is ensured by the bilingual technical forum with simultaneously translated lectures (German <> English) from all areas of industrial parts and surface cleaning.
The guided tours, conducted in German and English over the three exhibition days, allow trade visitors to learn about specific topics in component and surface cleaning at selected booths along the process chain. Participating exhibitors can showcase their products and innovations directly to an interested professional audience at their stands, thereby generating additional contacts.
