Pöppelmann presents at this year's Industrial Supply with KAPSTO® FastLane the production of special parts in record time, setting a new benchmark in the industry. In the spirit of Industry 4.0, the plastics specialists Pöppelmann and ARBURG will bring a smart, personalized travel companion to life for trade fair visitors.

The Hannover Messe 2017 promotes the slogan "get new technology first" and focuses on the theme of gaining an advantage through speed. Pöppelmann KAPSTO® also addresses the aspect of speed and introduces KAPSTO® FastLane, showcasing the extremely fast development and production of custom parts in the world of caps and plugs. From the product and article concept to a sample from a 3D printer to the first toolless parts, the plastics expert can set new standards in service and speed. How fast they really are will be revealed by the plastics experts from Pöppelmann KAPSTO® from April 24 to 28, 2017, at booth B18 in Hall 6.

With injection molding and additive manufacturing to smart components

For all travel-loving visitors, Pöppelmann, in cooperation with ARBURG, offers not only an excellent example of Industry 4.0 but also a practical helper for on the go. In Hall 6, Stand K16, ARBURG will produce intelligent, personalized suitcase tags for trade fair visitors based on the principle of a smart networked factory. An integrated chip stores not only manufacturing data but also the electronic business card of the visitor. Visitors can enter their design preferences beforehand in Pöppelmann's web shop or at a terminal on the ARBURG trade fair stand and then receive the finished product there. This illustrates the customer-specific customization of mass-produced parts through the combination of precision injection molding and additive manufacturing, as well as the traceability of each individual component.

The Pöppelmann effect makes components lighter

The topic of lightweight construction continues to play an important role in various industries. Pöppelmann K-TECH® offers its customers different solutions for this. First, engineers check parameters such as feasibility, material, design, tooling, and process. This allows potential for weight reduction and cost savings that are not immediately visible to be uncovered – the Pöppelmann effect. One of Pöppelmann's strengths is the combination of high-performance plastics with a plastic-compatible component design. Many metal parts have already been successfully replaced with plastics.
