The topic of resource conservation is at the very heart of this year's presentation by the Pöppelmann Group. The Pöppelmann KAPSTO® division, a specialist for protective elements made of plastic, is showcasing, among other things, proven standard series from their range, which are now also available made from 100 percent recycled material. Another highlight of the corporate group is the broad-based PÖPPELMANN blue® initiative, under which Pöppelmann consolidates numerous projects committed to a continuous circular economy. The initiative is an important component of the plastic specialist’s sustainability strategy.

Conical Closure GPN 608 and Universal Protection GPN 610

100 percent recycled material for proven standard series ensures more gentle use of resources. The highly requested universal protection GPN 610 can be used as a cap or plug. It reliably seals internal threads, holes, and external threads in various diameters from 4.4 to 84.5 mm. The conically shaped plastic protection bridges tolerances excellently. The conical closure GPN 608 with side tab is now also available in a recycling version. Both standard series are available from stock and, like the existing series, impress with the familiar KAPSTO® quality. The resource-saving alternatives of the popular standard series are made from post-consumer polyethylene, short PCR-PE.

With company-wide initiative PÖPPELMANN blue® at the forefront of current developments

The new protective elements made from 100 percent recycled material reflect the intensive efforts of the Löhner plastic specialist for greater resource conservation. To this end, the company has specifically launched the PÖPPELMANN blue® initiative, which consolidates all group activities aimed at establishing a closed material cycle in plastics processing. Currently, recycling experts from all business areas are working on solutions for resource-efficient production of various Pöppelmann products, such as protective elements, but also products for horticulture or packaging. These activities are bearing fruit: Pöppelmann is the first company to use the new RAL quality mark of the RAL Quality Association Recycled Plastics from Household Waste Collection e. V. for products of the Pöppelmann TEKU® division. The label verifies that recycled materials from household collection bins, such as yellow sacks or yellow bins, have been used in the respective product or packaging in a traceable and complete manner.
