Orbital welding of pipelines

Orbital welding is a fully mechanized shielding gas welding process (TIG welding process), in which the arc is mechanically guided continuously without interruption 360 degrees around pipes or other round objects.

Orbital welding is primarily used in pipeline construction, especially when sensitive processes require pure media or critical media are used. The necessary consistently high seam quality is achieved under controllable conditions.
