Optimally tailored cleaning and service solutions
The program, as diverse as the tasks in component cleaning
As diverse as the tasks in industrial component cleaning are the solutions offered by the Ecoclean Group (Hall 3, Stand B31) at this year's parts2clean. Whether aqueous or solvent cleaning, the specially developed Scara manipulator for use in fully automatic and Industry 4.0-capable robot cells, or tailored service offerings, the broad program, from which various systems will be showcased live again, covers all requirements.
Key factors in selecting or optimizing a cleaning process are the requirements for the cleanliness of the components, which must meet the needs of subsequent manufacturing steps such as heat treatment, casting processes, or assembly, as well as ensuring a permanently defect-free product function. The size and geometry of the parts, materials, type and amount of contamination, throughput, the necessary flexibility, and potential automation/production integration also play an important role. This results in very different demands on cleaning systems and processes. Ecoclean presents a diverse, future-oriented solution offering at parts2clean from October 24 to 26, 2017. It is designed to achieve the required cleaning quality in a stable and sustainable manner, with minimal costs per cleaned part.
On the Ecoclean stand, the innovative Scara manipulator will be showcased as the first specifically developed for use in robot cells. It replaces the six-axis articulated arm robots typically used in these systems for deburring and cleaning powertrain components. With an IP 69 protection class, the Scara manipulator is suitable for high-pressure water jetting and immersion. In addition to its robust construction, made entirely from high-strength aluminum and stainless steel, the robot impresses with user-friendly programming and operation via the CNC control of the cleaning system.
Ecoclean covers the numerous and varied tasks of degreasing, intermediate, and fine cleaning of components in the broad general industry with different systems for aqueous and solvent cleaning, some of which will be demonstrated at parts2clean.
This includes the EcoCWave for aqueous immersion and spray processes. It is designed—to handle large quantities of parts quickly and reliably from coarse to fine cleaning. The system is equipped with two or three tanks tailored to the respective requirements. Unlike the shallow rectangular tanks of conventional aqueous cleaning systems, they are round, upright, and flow-optimized, preventing the formation of chip and dirt nests and contributing to improved cleaning quality. Powerful pumps and large pipe cross-sections ensure short process times by speeding up filling and draining of the working chamber.
This advantage is complemented by the EcoCCore solvent system. Its fast processes and large batch size of 670 x 480 x 400 mm enable reduced unit costs in the cleaning process. The extensive standard equipment, including two flood tanks, heat recovery, full-flow, and bypass filtration, contributes to optimized cleaning quality. The system is designed for operation with non-halogenated hydrocarbons and modified alcohols, ensuring a future-proof operation—even if the range of parts or requirements change.
An "Service Island" completes the exhibitor's presentation. Experienced customer service staff inform visitors about predictive maintenance options, customized service concepts for high system availability, training for customer employees, as well as system modernization and adjustments. Visitors also have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the virtual world here.
