The LVR Clinic for Orthopedics Viersen is expanding its existing building complex with two operating room buildings for orthopedics. The Franconian modular construction company Cadolto was commissioned to plan and realize the new construction in modular design.

The new building, consisting of 13 modules, covers a gross floor area of 804 m². The modular building extends over two floors and is directly connected to the existing clinic building. The basement houses technology for ventilation and building services, as well as four office and two meeting rooms. On the ground floor, there are two operating rooms with entry points, along with corresponding rooms serving as patient waiting zones, as well as for supply and disposal, the central area, and an administrative office.

The modules for the two-story new building were produced with the highest possible prefabrication in the factory halls in Cadolzburg. After leaving production, they were transported to the construction site by heavy-duty transport. The module installation represents an important milestone throughout the entire project. Before the start of module delivery, a meeting of all project participants took place on June 14, 2022, to inspect the construction site.
