One hundred cleanroom doors for pharmaceutical giants

One hundred cleanroom doors have been ordered by Abdi Ibrahim, the leading company in the Turkish pharmaceutical industry, for an expansion of the plant where generics will be produced in the future. EFAFLEX, a specialist in various industry solutions in the field of high-speed industrial doors, delivered and installed these doors in May.

The choice of the 100 EFA-SRT®-CR was no coincidence. Since 2011, the two companies have been working closely together and have already realized several projects with interesting system solutions. The decisive factors for choosing EFAFLEX doors for this plant expansion were the compact, smart design of the doors and the excellent air-tightness values.

Compact and airtight

The CR version of the EFA-SRT® is the ideal closure for rooms with different pressure conditions. Even under high pressure on the door leaf, air exchange is kept constantly to a minimum, which increases the lifespan of air filters. Fast opening and closing reduce air loss and thus improve the cost-effectiveness in the cleanroom.

Cleanroom doors from the CR series by EFAFLEX have received certification from TÜV Süd for the suitability for cleanroom environments of the equipment according to ISO Class 5 (254 EFA-SRT CR Premium) and ISO Class 6 (678 EFA-SRT CR Efficient and 675 EFA-STT CR) regarding airborne particle cleanliness. They are perfectly adapted to the requirements in controlled production zones and ensure the tightness of access points. The high-performance high-speed doors have a smooth surface structure and no protruding edges. They can therefore be easily cleaned, and particle settling is largely prevented. The GMP-compliant door types of the CR series are mostly made of V2A stainless steel. Like all high-speed doors from EFAFLEX, EFAFLEX cleanroom doors are very durable and low-maintenance thanks to their outstanding quality.

The doors are hygienic and seamless, providing ideal conditions for the pharmaceutical sector to meet the specific requirements in laboratories, medication manufacturing, medical technology, or special protective equipment.

Large viewing windows for increased safety

Abdi Ibrahim will use the doors for personnel and material access in the cleanroom area. The planners of the Turkish pharmaceutical giant commissioned all doors with a particularly large viewing window area. This is intended to keep the rooms bright and, due to better visibility through the doors, make personnel and material transport safer and more efficient.

From family pharmacy to pharmaceutical giant

The history of Abdi Ibrahim began in 1912 in the pharmacy of Abdi Nadir İbrahim Bey in Küçük Mustafa Paşa.
