nora systems expands the norament Formtreppen collection
Staircase solution now also available in arago design
With the norament arago shaped staircase, there is a new stair solution from nora that, with its stylish marbling – similar to the popular norament arago rubber tiles – is ideally suited for representative areas. The advantage of norament shaped stairs, which are already available in the studded version and in the grano and satura designs: They enable cross-area design solutions, allowing stair areas to be harmoniously integrated into the overall architectural concept. The elaborate installation of stair edge trims and separately cut tread and riser panels is eliminated – the installation is quick, clean, and straightforward in one piece. Optionally, the stairs can be equipped with additional signal or safety strips.
Harmonious integration of stair areas
"norament arago tiles are extremely popular among our customers because they offer a perfect balance of unique functionality and timeless aesthetics. The covering is the ideal solution for modern architectural concepts that focus on creating a design-oriented environment," says Bettina Haffelder, Vice President nora DACH. "With the new norament arago shaped staircase, stair areas can now also be harmoniously integrated into the design – such holistic solutions are increasingly in demand on the market." The calm colors, the originally styled design, and the naturally appearing relief structure make norament arago an attractive design element. The flooring collection introduced in 2017 is available in twelve muted shades of gray, and the norament arago shaped staircase is standardly available in six colors from this spectrum. norament shaped stairs can be installed on almost any substrate: from wood to stone and screed to metal, and are designed for straight steps with right-angled edges. They are extremely durable and suitable for stair areas in healthcare and educational facilities, as well as in social housing, public buildings, and industrial areas.
Extensive range of signal and safety strips
All norament shaped stairs can be factory-equipped with signal or safety strips in various widths, colors, and slip resistance classes, both on the tread surface and on the nose of the nosing. Luminous signal strips are also part of the offering. The advantage: especially at confusing locations and where extra caution is required, these elements provide clearer delineation of individual steps. The strips are not glued on but integrated flush with the surface into the covering. This prevents tripping hazards. Contrasting signal strips help improve the visibility of the staircase from start to finish, i.e., from the first to the last step, making the beginning and end of the steps clearly visible when ascending or descending. Safety strips with particularly high slip resistance also increase tread safety and can thus reduce the risk of accidents. The portfolio is rounded out by color-coordinated stair angles, skirting boards, and end profiles. This "all-in-one" solution is a unique selling point of the Weinheim rubber specialist.
