Software Module MOVIKIT® AntiSlosh

SEW-EURODRIVE was awarded the Handling Award 2020. The company secured third place in the category "Automation / Drives and Controls" with the software module MOVIKIT® AntiSlosh. The module is used for vibration reduction during the open transport of liquids in the production chain.

When transporting liquids in open containers, e.g., in production or filling, there is a risk that the liquid will swing and splash due to the cycle operation. This can lead to sealing problems or contaminated containers, resulting in scrap and reducing the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) of the operator. If this is compensated by lower accelerations and cycle rates, the yield of the production suffers instead.

With the MOVIKIT® AntiSlosh software module from SEW-EURODRIVE, optimal motion profiles are created based on intelligent tuning to the physical properties of the liquid. The calculation of the ideal cycle time enables manufacturing with maximum performance, combined with splash protection.

By ensuring clean filling with the optimized, intermittent transport of open liquids and reduced product scrap, machine performance is increased by up to 25%. The splash protection ensures hygienic transport of the liquids and reduces cleaning effort in the machine environment by up to 20%. Seal quality is improved because the sealing surfaces remain clean at all times, which also prevents recall actions due to contamination.
