New Test and Payroll Cleaning Center by LPW

After an intensive preparation period and the necessary construction measures, the new LPW Test and Service Center will be inaugurated in September at the company location in Riederich. Complementing the well-known technical center, there will then be a cleanroom-based customer center of approximately 300 sqm, which can be used not only for testing but also for contract cleaning of, for example, high-quality small series or pre-series products in precision cleaning.

LPW CEO Gerhard Koblenzer: "Industrial cleaning technology is undergoing a fundamental change. Filmic and fine-particulate contaminants are increasingly playing a role in the automotive sector and are no longer solely the domain of traditional high-purity industries such as semiconductors or medical technology. But regulatory changes in the manufacturing of medical devices also require new approaches, especially in the quality-relevant cleaning and drying processes. LPW has been supporting its customers on this path for years with forward-looking concepts for the highest precision cleaning tasks. The logical consequence now is the provision of suitable testing conditions as well as qualified contract cleaning capacities."

In addition to the obligatory pre-cleaning, the new LPW center offers pretreatment via robot-assisted ultrasonic deburring and high-quality final cleaning in the existing cleanroom of ISO Class 7. Temporarily, conditions up to ISO Class 6 can also be realized.

Overview of the technical equipment:

- Ultrasonic Deburring System: Robot-assisted ultrasonic deburring for the removal of flitter and grinding burrs.
- Pre-cleaning PowerJet 670T2 basic: 2-stage cleaning/rinsing process with integrated ultrasonic cleaning and subsequent hot air/vacuum drying.
- 3-stage precision system (PowerJet 670T3 CNp), integrated in the cleanroom (ISO Class 7) with
  - Ultrasonic cleaning/rinsing
  - Injection flooding
  - CNp cleaning/rinsing
  - Integrated hot air/vacuum drying
  - Contactless IR/CNp drying

With an in-house pure water supply, even the highest purity requirements from medical technology, precision component manufacturing, optical industry, and also from the new portfolio of the automotive sector can be realized. The central control technology enables the documentation of all process procedures as well as environmental conditions. Furthermore, from the end of the year, a semi-automatic CNp/ultrasound tool for individual part cleaning will be available. The subsequent packaging is carried out at specially designated stations in the cleanroom.

In addition, the LPW team conducts preliminary tests and initial analyses. In cooperation with external laboratories/analytics specialists, certified evaluations of preliminary tests or individual samples from the cleaned batches can also be provided.
