New Sustainability Portal Launches

The concept of sustainability was coined more than 300 years ago and is more relevant today than ever before. The Piepenbrock Group has been dealing with this topic since 1990 – back then, the first environmental report of the building services provider was published. In the meantime, Piepenbrock is implementing a variety of ecological, economic, and social projects. This year marks the 30th anniversary of this sustainable commitment.

On this occasion, the company's sustainability portal is also undergoing a relaunch. "On this portal, we present our holistic sustainability management, for example our Forest Rheinshagen or our collaboration with Plan International to support sponsored children in Asia. Furthermore, the Hartwig Piepenbrock-DZNE Award for the promotion of research into neurodegenerative diseases is also featured," reports Arnulf Piepenbrock, Managing Partner of the company. Olaf Piepenbrock, also a Managing Partner, adds, "The website is technically up to date." Additionally, the new sustainability report of the building services provider will be published on the sustainability portal towards the end of the year. "For the first time, we are reporting according to the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), so the report will also be comparable internationally," emphasizes Arnulf Piepenbrock. "This continues to position us as a pioneer in our industry."

Numerous events for the anniversary

Piepenbrock is celebrating the sustainability anniversary not only with a new web portal but also with a variety of events, both regionally and across areas – often together with the company's customers. "We plant trees together with our clients, build nesting boxes, or set up beehives," reports Olaf Piepenbrock. At the same time, the ten-year partnership with Plan International and the ten-year anniversary of the Growth Campaign are also being celebrated. "For new orders and order expansions, we plant trees in the company's forest on behalf of our clients," explains Arnulf Piepenbrock, providing background on the initiative. The highlight of the anniversary year will be a large event in the Rheinshagen company forest in September, together with business partners, employees, and distinguished guests, including a major anniversary planting. "Our sustainable commitment is very close to our hearts because, as a family business, we think in generations. We want to preserve a livable environment and biological diversity in the future," the managing partners emphasize.
