New Partner: Universal Robots expands its sales network in Germany

The world market leader in collaborative robotics Universal Robots (UR) is once again expanding its sales network in Germany. Four new partners have joined in recent weeks as the company's Certified System Integrators. These include Matheus Service GmbH from Osann-Monzel in Rhineland-Palatinate, LECHNER Maschinenbau from Untermarchtal in Baden-Württemberg, as well as the companies URT GmbH from Korb in Baden-Württemberg and FMT GmbH from Limburg-Oberfrohna in Saxony, which are part of the UTZ Group.

"The demand for robotic applications is continuously growing, not least as a result of the ongoing labor shortage. To provide our interested parties with competent integration partners directly nearby, we are constantly expanding our network in Germany, as well as in Austria and Switzerland," explains Andrea Alboni, General Manager Western Europe at Universal Robots. "Our experienced system integrators and sales partners enable our customers to quickly and easily automate and are available as contacts, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises. They are the ones who support our customers daily with a lot of know-how and passion."

Efficient and flexible solutions thanks to UR cobots

Competent advice and first-class service are also a top priority for Matheus Service GmbH: Since 2012, the company has been supporting its customers with passion and expertise on their individual path to automation. The focus of the company, which employs around 20 staff members, is particularly on projects for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and includes programming support as well as maintenance and spare parts service in the areas of Pick & Place, Packaging, and Palletizing. "Our mission is to make the best robot solution for our customers' individual needs quickly and easily accessible and to support them with excellent service in their automation projects," says Matthias Weinandy, Managing Director of Matheus Service GmbH. "Universal Robots' cobots are an optimal addition to our portfolio because they are easy to integrate and work reliably. For this reason, we have now also decided on an official partnership," Weinandy continues.

Progress and innovation in automation

The also new Certified System Integrator LECHNER Maschinenbau from Untermarchtal has been offering its customers machines and customized automation solutions for sheet metal processing for over 40 years. The product focus includes, among others, bending machines, Bördels and Sicken machines, as well as welding systems with a focus on tube and container manufacturing technology. Since the end of 2021, the company has also incorporated robotic solutions in the form of collaborative robots, known as cobots, into its product portfolio. "After the very positive experiences we had with UR in automating our in-house welding shop, the next logical step for us was a collaboration in automation and material feeding for our customers' CNC bending machines," says Thomas Lechner, Managing Director of LECHNER Maschinenbau. "Especially the simple programming of UR cobots is the ultimate selling point," Lechner explains further.

More flexible workplaces in production

The URT Utz Ratio Technik GmbH from Korb in Baden-Württemberg, founded in 1982, and FMT Flexible Montagetechnik GmbH, founded in 1993 in Limburg-Oberfrohna, Saxony, develop and implement customized systems and plants for the production of various components as well as for automating assembly, handling, and inspection processes. The portfolio of the two companies belonging to the Utz Group includes manual, collaborative, and semi-automatic workstation systems, as well as complex transfer technology and fully automated systems. "Under our credo 'Future Automation,' we develop high-quality, powerful systems for production and assembly automation," says Thilo Utz, Managing Partner of URT and FMT. "As Certified System Integrators, we now have even better opportunities to automate our customers' processes and thus offer them a real benefit. Partner network supports with Cobot integration during personnel shortages

Universal Robots aims to reach companies through the expansion of its partner network that are facing the challenge of being unable to produce efficiently due to a lack of workforce. "Many companies are currently suffering from labor shortages. To be able to produce reliably even during economic peaks, more and more companies are choosing automation," says Alboni. "One of our goals is to dispel common concerns and prejudices against robots and to clarify the many advantages of cobots. We are pleased with our new integrators, who complement our network with their expertise perfectly, and we warmly welcome them."
