New gripping and rotating unit QC3 from HOVMAND

HOVMAND has developed a new gripping and rotating unit for its mobile battery-powered industrial lifting devices: QC3, designed for gripping, lifting, and rotating barrels and rollers up to 60 kilograms. The impact lifting models Impact 130 and INOX 90, already part of the world's leading company's portfolio, have been adapted into a new version specifically tailored for the application of the QC3.

The new gripping and rotating unit QC3 is a more cost-effective option for gripping, lifting, and rotating barrels and rollers up to 60 kilograms on the outside. Compared to the gripping and rotating units previously available on the market for industrial lifting devices, the QC3 is more affordable and lighter at the same time. The Danish family-owned company is filling a market niche in work equipment to avoid manual lifting in production and logistics. QC3 is available for use as a roller or barrel gripper for two new versions of the impact lifting models Impact 130 and INOX 90: Impact 130-3 made of aluminum and INOX 90-3 made of stainless steel.

"In both models, we deliberately omitted features that are not essential for the application of the QC3 — such as the double-adjustable lifting speed in the INOX 90-3. This allows us to offer the product to customers at a more affordable price, and at the same time, we were able to reduce the weight of both models by 18-20%," says Managing Director Søren Hovmand. "This significantly simplifies maneuvering the entire barrel or roller gripping unit from A to B." In addition to this improved usability, users benefit from an additional advantage: with the QC3, in hygienic environments, the new INOX 90-3 can often be used instead of an INOX 200. Customers benefit in this case from the smaller, more agile, and space-saving chassis options of the INOX 90 — which is also less expensive to purchase than the INOX 200.

The INOX 90 is a model from the extensive range of stainless steel lifting aids with a load capacity of up to 300 kg from HOVMAND, designed for use in the pharmaceutical, chemical, and food industries, and their strict hygiene requirements. The Impact 130 is the most frequently used lifting device from the world's leading company's product range and is versatile in application.
