New experience world for the cleanroom industry in Switzerland

The Cleanroom Academy opened the Cleanroom Experience Showroom on September 19th in central Wangen an der Aare. Interested parties from the cleanroom industry, pharmaceutical sector, medical technology, and electronics have the opportunity to further their education regarding cleanrooms through this technology and event platform.

Particulate-free or germ-free production is becoming increasingly important in many industrial sectors. Whether pharmaceuticals, optical workshops, or electronic components, all are manufactured under the purest conditions. Producers are subject to ever higher technological or regulatory requirements. Only through continuous knowledge maintenance and regular staff training, e.g., in behavior, cleaning, and disinfection, can they stay up to date.

Exhibition, Continuing Education, and Networking

Switzerland, with one of the fastest-growing markets in this area, has a real need for a conference center where seminars and events for a larger group in the cleanroom industry can be held. Such a platform is now available with the Cleanroom Experience Showroom in Wangen a.A. In a technical and training center specially established by CleanroomAcademy GmbH, practical training sessions are offered for cleanroom personnel to train theoretical topics in a hands-on manner. Typical cleanroom elements, such as sluices, cleanroom flooring, consumables, and wiping equipment, are integrated.

Adjacent is an exhibition area with 36 display booths where companies can showcase their product portfolios, as well as a get-together area where participants can casually network.

This showroom concept has already proven successful with CleanroomAcademy in Leipzig.

In the future, CleanroomAcademy will regularly hold seminars, workshops, expert conferences, and practical training sessions in Wangen an der Aare. Additionally, it cooperates with the Swiss Contamination Control Society (SwissCCS), which will also hold its autumn conference in the showroom in 2013.

Opening of the New Showroom

On September 19th, interested parties such as operators of cleanroom facilities and laboratories, manufacturers of cleanroom products, and cleanroom fitters had the opportunity to tour the new premises.

Managing Director Frank Duvernell officially opened the showroom with an engaging speech. Attendees listened attentively to the speech of Felix Howald, Director of the Central Switzerland Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who highlighted the success factors of determined entrepreneurs like Frank Duvernell, such as decisiveness, visions and their implementation, investment capability, and identifying potential (both within the company and among employees). After an engaging program, including speeches from SwissCCS Secretary Werner Straub and star author Edgar Geoffroy, participants could wind down the day together at a culinary buffet.

The first seminars at the new venue will already take place in November 2013! From November 12-13, a practical cleaning seminar will cover everything about the theory and practice of cleaning.
