New Conference and Exhibition for Cleanroom Technology starts in Dubai

The Cleanzone Middle East 2018 showcases current innovations and technologies for the rapidly growing market of the United Arab Emirates. Current trends and developments in the international cleanroom technology market are at the center of the conference with an accompanying exhibition, which will take place from November 12 to 13, 2018, at the Conrad Hotel in Dubai.

"With increasing demands on product quality, cleanroom technology is playing an increasingly important role in the Gulf region," emphasizes Wolfgang Marzin, Chairman of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt. "With the Cleanzone Middle East, we want to offer our customers the opportunity to participate in this attractive future market," says Marzin. According to market research firm Grand View Research (GVR), a revenue volume of $4.86 billion is expected by 2025. The United Arab Emirates and the entire Middle East will account for an increasing share in the coming years. Ambitious plans are underway in the UAE to establish itself as the manufacturing hub of the Middle East. By 2025, $75 billion are to be invested in industrial development. As more companies from the pharmaceutical, aerospace, food and beverage, nanosensorics, cosmetics, and medical technology industries settle there, the demand for cleanroom technology will also increase.

Cleanrooms are highly sterile environments essential for numerous production processes and research activities. They maintain the concentration of airborne particles such as dust, microorganisms, or vapors at extremely low levels. A cleanroom can be a small laboratory or several thousand square meters of halls housing entire production facilities. The latter are required, for example, for semiconductor manufacturing, biotechnological processes, or life sciences applications.

The Cleanzone Middle East is organized by Messe Frankfurt Middle East. High-caliber international speakers and leading global manufacturers will participate in this two-day industry event. For the premiere, industry leaders such as HHAC, Waldner, Ortner, PMMR, and vali.sys have been secured as launch partners. Camfil, Igienair, and Rigel Life Sciences are participating as Bronze Sponsors. Elis, ISOONE, PPS, and Masarat for Accreditation present themselves as Prime Exhibitors. Nathan Lloyd, Chief Operating Officer of Messe Frankfurt Middle East, explains: "Cleanroom technology is already being used in various industries in the United Arab Emirates, such as in the aerospace sector, in the production of paints and coatings, in food processing, medical technology, and automotive spare parts manufacturing. It is now important to increase awareness of their significance for economic development, especially in light of the ambitious plans of the countries in the region to diversify their economies." Through case studies, pioneering lectures, and panel discussions on industry-relevant best practices and their application in the UAE and the entire region, the Cleanzone Middle East will present an inspiring program. The focus of the Cleanroom Technology Congress will be on four main topics: cleanroom design and architecture, technology and development, monitoring and validation, as well as quality control and decontamination.

On the opening day, two highlights await the delegates: GVR will provide an overview of the cleanroom technology market in the Middle East, and a panel discussion will address how the development of cleanroom technology in the region can be supported. High-caliber discussions and lectures are scheduled for the second day. Additionally, delegates can participate in a tour of the Masdar City urban development project in Abu Dhabi, which aims to become the most sustainable and environmentally friendly city in the world. During the tour, the innovative ideas implemented in Masdar and the cleanroom facilities at the Masdar Institute will be showcased.

The Cleanzone Middle East is the first international event under the Cleanzone brand by Messe Frankfurt. With its high level of internationality, Cleanzone in Frankfurt is the leading trade fair for cleanroom technology in Europe. In October, around 1,300 experts from 39 countries exchanged ideas on innovations and trends over two days. A total of 78 companies from ten countries showcased their offerings.
