The Röchling Engineering Plastics (UK) Ltd in Gloucester, Great Britain, has commissioned a new ISO Class 7 cleanroom. With this investment, the plastics processor is further expanding its range of high-precision finished parts made from thermoplastics, specifically for medical technology, pharmaceutical technology, aerospace, and semiconductor technology.

Components for medical technology, pharmaceutical technology, aerospace, and semiconductor technology are subject to very high demands on durability and purity. On our modern CNC machines, we machine complex finished parts according to customer drawings. In the new cleanroom, the components are cleaned, packaged, and labeled according to customer specifications by our trained staff."

Furthermore, the industrial division offers a comprehensive range of semi-finished products made from biocompatible plastics for medical technology, tested according to ISO 10993.
Employees trained

The Röchling employees at the Gloucester site have been trained specifically for work in the cleanroom. A cleanroom is a closed production area where the concentration of particles and microorganisms in the air is controlled. The particle count is managed through elaborate ventilation and filtration systems, specially directed airflow, and specialized cleanroom clothing.
