New at RK Rose+Krieger: RK MonoLine Z80 – completely corrosion-protected

Especially for automation solutions in areas where condensation and dripping water form due to environmental or manufacturing conditions, RK Rose+Krieger has expanded its range of belt-driven linear axes of the RK MonoLine type with a fully corrosion-protected version in the standard size 80.

The compact linear units of the RK MonoLine series from RK Rose+Krieger impress with high power density and a very good price-performance ratio. Specifically designed for high-dynamic, repeat-accurate pick & place, palletizing, as well as loading and unloading processes in the medium load segment, they combine high rigidity with smooth operation, a repeat accuracy of +/- 0.05 mm, and a maximum acceleration of 20 m/s².

Comprehensive protection against corrosion

With the new corrosion-protected RK MonoLine Z80, RK Rose+Krieger not only replaced all parts made of steel in the standard version with stainless steel components. Corrosion-resistant material was also chosen for the timing belt: it consists of polyurethane with stainless steel cord (HTD 8M RF LL) in the corrosion-protected version. Additionally, pre-drilled drain holes are provided for vertical use of the axis in the belt deflection, which can be opened by the customer if necessary to allow condensate to drain. Typical applications of the corrosion-protected RK MonoLine include automated extraction systems from injection molding or compression molding machines, where water mist, condensation, and subsequent dripping water are to be expected.

Numerous practical features

Like all axes in the RK MonoLine Z series, the new corrosion-protected linear unit features a versatile mounting concept compatible with almost all motors on the market. This means that the motor position no longer has to be fixed at the time of order. It can also be adjusted later to suit the current situation. Optional clamping and T-slot profiles reduce design effort and facilitate customer-specific customization. Profile rails offer maximum flexibility for attaching customer-specific accessories such as energy chains, hose brackets, or end or proximity switches for end position shutdown. The payload is securely attached via T-nuts with threaded holes available as accessories. For the user, this means less design effort, lower assembly costs, and faster installation.
