Neuberger presents the latest generation room control device at ISH 2023

Communicative and with integrated control functions – Neuberger will present the latest generation of its room control devices, the RP8100, at the upcoming ISH 2023 in Frankfurt.
Communicative and with integrated control functions – Neuberger will present the latest generation of its room control devices, the RP8100, at the upcoming ISH 2023 in Frankfurt.

From March 13-17, 2023, automation specialist Neuberger will showcase its new and self-developed room control device for the first time at ISH 2023 in Frankfurt am Main. Modern design meets innovative touch operation and freely programmable visualization. In addition to the trade fair premiere of the new control panel, interested visitors will also be presented with updates regarding the Open.Room room automation system as well as information about the extensive range of services offered.

Under the motto “Sustainable. Successful.”, the Rothenburg-based company will present its products and services at the joint stand C02 of the Weishaupt Group in Hall 12.0. A special highlight this year is the premiere of the new, self-developed room control device. “We are very pleased to now have the matching control panel in our product portfolio for our room automation system,” said Jürgen Metzger, Sales Manager.

Room control device of the latest generation

The new room control device of type RP8100 features a particularly high-quality and modern design. The panels can be operated in both vertical and horizontal installation positions and are equipped with a high-resolution, capacitive 5” touch display. Integrated sensors for temperature, humidity, brightness, presence, VOC, and CO2 enable the integration of control functions such as heating/cooling, lighting, shading, etc. When the standard-equipped panel with an integrated web server is connected to building management via BACnet/IP, regulation and visualization can be carried out independently through the device. Furthermore, the room control device is designed for expansion using remote bus modules.

The control and visualization concept is absolutely flexible. Depending on customer requirements, application purpose, or project demands, measurement sizes and/or control functions can be flexibly displayed. Visualizations such as display and control elements are freely programmable. To connect the room control device to automation systems such as Neuberger’s Open.Room system, interfaces like BACnet/IP, Web (http/https), Modbus TCP, Modbus RS485, MQTT, or KNX are available.

All from a single source — the company from the Weishaupt Group remains true to its philosophy: “Our customer base has access to a future-oriented and modular complete system for integrated and cross-disciplinary room automation projects, including the room automation system Open.Room, commissioning software RoomDesigner, programming software PMC_Studio, and the newly developed room control device RP8100,” continued Metzger. Additionally, the Franconian company continues to guarantee an unlimited spare parts supply for all its in-house manufactured products, including both the room automation system and the new room control panel — currently unique in the industry. With the new building and the resulting capacity expansion of electronics manufacturing at the Rothenburg site, Neuberger will also continue to be able to deliver high-quality switchgear and electronic components “made in Germany” to its customer base.

Overview of the RP8100 room control device:

  • Newly developed room control device with modern design
  • Customer-specific and intuitive control and visualization concept — absolutely flexible and freely configurable

  • Programming via network or USB service port
  • Versatile applications such as in office and administrative buildings, hotels, resorts, etc.
  • A complete system from a single source: room automation with Open.Room, commissioning with RoomDesigner, programming with PMC_Studio, room control with RoomPanel RP8100

Alongside the new room control device RP8100, the company also presents updates regarding the Open.Room room automation system. The DO8200 module is now available to all system users as a digital output module with six relay outputs. The series of communication modules is further expanded with the CM8400 (KNX), CM8410 (DALI-2), and CM8420 (SMI) modules, which have recently been successfully certified by official bodies. This system thus enables the realization of all room functions according to VDI 3813 and DIN EN 15232 (building energy efficiency). Neuberger also has innovations in store for web service integration at the Frankfurt fair. For example, the simple connection of room or workplace booking systems via the open network protocol MQTT to the Open.Room system will be demonstrated.

Also in focus at ISH and of fundamental importance in current times: extensive and reliable service and support. Neuberger will also showcase why its customer base can rely on each of the approximately 170 service, maintenance, and calibration technicians, and what economic and material advantages this offers to the company's customers.

From March 13 to 17, the companies of the Weishaupt Group will present everything related to energy technology (Max Weishaupt GmbH), energy management (Neuberger Building Automation GmbH), and energy generation (BauGrund Süd Gesellschaft für Geothermie mbH) at the more than 2,600 m² large joint stand C02 in Hall 12.0. Interested visitors are warmly welcome.
