Neuberger Environmental Management System successfully certified according to DIN EN ISO 14001

The Rothenburg expert in building automation, room automation, cleanroom, and process technology confirms the existing DIN EN ISO 9001 certification and successfully implements a certified environmental management system according to DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 for the first time.

For 25 years, the company Neuberger has been certified in all areas of the company according to the quality management standard DIN EN ISO 9001. Recently, Neuberger also successfully implemented an environmental management system according to DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 within the company.

Unlike quality management according to ISO 9001, which focuses on product and service quality, environmental management according to ISO 14001 relates to the company and its impact on the environment. The international environmental management standard sets globally recognized requirements for an environmental management system. Environmental protection is systematically embedded in management, ensuring that environmental aspects are considered in all daily tasks and corporate decisions. The goal of DIN EN ISO 14001:2015 is to continuously improve the company's environmental performance through the environmental objectives set within the company, thereby contributing to responsible resource use and environmental protection.

With the implementation and a sustainable environmental management system practiced, accepted, and maintained by employees, Neuberger now fully meets the requirements of the standard. This will particularly please Neuberger’s clients from the pharmaceutical industry, as certified management systems in quality and environmental management are increasingly demanded here. Questions about environment and quality are now standard in supplier self-assessments and qualifications. "Neuberger’s customer base is increasingly concerned with sustainability, environmental protection, and responsible resource management, and is increasingly demanding this from us as a supplier," says Peter Bejcek, Environmental Management Officer at Neuberger. The audit closing report particularly highlighted the very detailed and practical key figure system, as well as the environmental and energy concept at the headquarters in Middle Franconia’s Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The company’s self-developed and especially durable products were also positively evaluated. The re-certification for the quality management system according to ISO 9001 was also successfully achieved by Neuberger. The certifications were confirmed by an external institute, SGS TÜV SAAR, which recently conducted the multi-day audits at the company.

"The two successful audits confirm our pursuit of the highest quality standards, considering sustainable environmental protection, within an optimal organization of all company processes. Only when all employees and departments work together on quality and environmental topics can such a positive result be achieved," continues Bejcek regarding the very positive outcome of the certification audits at the headquarters.

With these two successful certifications, Neuberger remains well-prepared for customer requirements and wishes and optimally equipped for the competition.
